Despite top scorer Hurts, Naperville Endgame fall to Hoffman Hillbillies, 98-91
Jalen Hurts had 37 points for Naperville Endgame, the best total in the matchup and second-highest in the league this week, but it wasn't enough to defeat Hoffman Hillbillies, who staged an impressive comeback to earn a 98-91 win. Trailing 91-84 heading into Monday night, Hoffman Hillbillies made a comeback behind CeeDee Lamb, who caught 8 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown for 14 points. Jalen Hurts (340 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs, 20 Rush Yds) and Marquise Brown (14 Rec, 140 Rec Yds) led the charge for Naperville Endgame in the loss. Hoffman Hillbillies (2-1) will look to sustain their winning ways against Throw up the X, while Naperville Endgame (1-2) attempt to get back in the win column against Arizona Mini Teeth.
Lamb caught 8 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown as the Cowboys beat the Giants 23-16. In doing so, he put up 14 points and scored 47.1% higher than his scoring projection, the highest percentage of any player on Hoffman Hillbillies this week. In Week 4, Lamb and the Cowboys will face the Commanders.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with highlight-reel plays early Sunday, but it was Hoffman Hillbillies who owned the lead, 74-48. Joe Burrow had a 56-yard touchdown pass for Hoffman Hillbillies, while Terry McLaurin had a 45-yard catch. Jalen Hurts made the highlight reel for Naperville Endgame with a 23-yard touchdown pass and a 45-yard pass.
Sunday Night
Brandon McManus had a 55-yard field goal for Naperville Endgame, contributing to a 91-84 lead for the team.
