Throw up the X fall short of projections, lose to Hood Court Hooligans in 101-48 drubbing

There's no sugarcoating it, Throw up the X didn't do their job, at least according to projections, as Hood Court Hooligans cruised to a 101-48 victory. Throw up the X got out to a 3-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Hood Court Hooligans after that. They were led by Justin Herbert (31 points) and Davante Adams (20). Tom Brady (14 points) and Dalvin Cook (10) led the charge for Throw up the X in defeat. Hood Court Hooligans (1-0) will look to add to their success against Hoffman Hillbillies, while Throw up the X (0-1) try to get back on track against Naperville Endgame.

Coach Talk

Hood Court Hooligans
You know, football is all about exploiting the mismatches. Our team had sizable advantages in numerous key spots this week: we doubled Throw up the X at QB (31 points to 14), doubled them at WR (22 to 9), and royally dominated them at RB (38 to 14).
Throw up the X
Well, we certainly can't gripe about a lack of opportunities this time, can we? Our pass-catching corps (two WR and one TE) collectively saw a grand total of 29 targets in Week 1. Chemistry could be an issue, as that group recorded only 15 catches.
