Saddlers fall to PIRATES, 103.0-92.1
There's no easy way to say it, Saddlers underdelivered, at least based on projections, as PIRATES emerged victorious with a 103.0-92.1 victory. Saddlers grabbed a 17.3-point lead on Thursday, but PIRATES held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Josh Allen, who passed for 205 yards and ran for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns for 26.8 points, and Rhamondre Stevenson, who ran for 60 yards (13 points). Kyler Murray (175 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs, 60 Rush Yds) and Cooper Kupp (8 Rec, 127 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) did everything they could for Saddlers in the loss. PIRATES improve to 7-2 on the season, while Saddlers fall to 6-3.
Projected to score 10.74 points, Stevenson scored 21% more than that amount by scoring 13 points as the Patriots beat the Colts 26-3. He ran for 60 yards to beat his projection by the highest percentage of any player on PIRATES this week. Next week, Stevenson will square off against the Jets.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with standout plays early Sunday, but it was PIRATES who grabbed the lead, 79.7-51.3. Josh Allen hit Stefon Diggs for a 42-yard pass for PIRATES. Allen also lit up the scoreboard with a 36-yard touchdown run. Tyler Bass made the highlight reel for Saddlers with a 51-yard field goal.
Sunday Late
Kyler Murray had a 22-yard touchdown pass for Saddlers, while Cooper Kupp had a 69-yard touchdown catch for the team, who trailed 92.4-89.1 after the late round of games.
PIRATES
You know PIRATES, the good news is that we took this matchup by nearly 11 points. The *even better* news is that we know we're better than this... in fact, our team's scoring average through eight weeks was 116.08. So while we're happy to have earned this victory, let's get back up to where we know we can be!
Saddlers
Hey now, talk about under-utilized. As a group, the starting RBs for Saddlers did not receive a single target in the passing game this past week. Get those quarterbacks to check down a little more often in Week 10!
