Gamblers earn win against Canadian Bacon, 202.46-186.67
Both teams showed up, but Gamblers took down Canadian Bacon, earning a 202.46-186.67 win. Gamblers never trailed in this one after taking a 33.36-point lead on Thursday behind Devin Duvernay (22.86 points) and Devin White (10.5). Marcus Mariota (253 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs, 43 Rush Yds) and DJ Moore (6 Rec, 152 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) were the top scorers for Canadian Bacon in the loss. Gamblers (6-2) will look to maintain their momentum against Mustache Disaster, while Canadian Bacon (4-4) will take on StarLords in an effort to get back in the win column.
Against the Buccaneers in Week 8, Duvernay racked up 64 yards from scrimmage and ran for a touchdown. In doing so, he put up 22.86 points and nearly doubled his scoring projection, the highest percent increase of any player on Gamblers this week. Next week, Duvernay will square off against the Saints.

Meanwhile, Marcus Mariota had a 47-yard touchdown pass and a 25-yard touchdown pass for Canadian Bacon, while CeeDee Lamb had a 21-yard touchdown catch.

Gamblers
Identifying mismatches is a huge key to success in football. We really emphasized that by almost tripling Canadian Bacon at running back this past week (54.8 points to 19.6).
Canadian Bacon
"Not getting many opportunities" shouldn't really be an excuse this week for Canadian Bacon. Our four pass-catchers (three WR, one TE) were targeted a grand total of 31 times in Week 8. Those players should participate in some additional timing drills with their QBs, considering they hauled in just 19 catches.
