Hello everyone,

Welcome everyone to year #2 of the 12 DUFFS fantasy league (Dudes Undertaking Fantasy Football Struggles). The league is a dynasty/keeper hybrid (not quite full dynasty).

General:

* 12 teams. All manager spots have been filled!
* 24 roster spots – 15 starting positions (10 offense – 5 defense) – 1 IR slots (as per vote, we removed 1 flex spot and 1 bench spot from last year)
* 0.5 PPR
* Rest of point settings can be found in league settings (scoring, etc). Note as voted, I have increased the defensive players points slightly. We added more points for take away plays (forced fumble, interceptions, etc and added tackles for loss as a category.
*Trades – can occur year round. So, what you see in the spreadsheet link above will be updated by Sept 2nd.

Draft:

* Drafts will be last place to first place (12th to 1st). This will help with competitive balance, year over year.
*Draft will be held on yahoo (live draft – ensure your browser can handle it)
* Winner of consolation bracket will get first overall pick
* Drafts will take place on the Tuesday after labour day every year (this year is Sept 6th at 8:30pm)
* Draft will consist of rookie class and any non keepers

Keeper Settings:

* 8 keepers are allowed each year
* No rules on how long you can keep someone (can keep for a lifetime)
* Draft pick trades are allowed. Draft pick deals for this year’s draft must be received by Aug 31st.
* Keepers are due by Sept 1st. Please set them in yahoo or email me by this date, so I can set them

Fees:

* $80 entry fee (unless you prepaid $40 to make draft pick deals last year – then you only owe $40). Please send e-transfers to jawa_levesque@hotmail.com
* If you trade any future draft picks, you have to pay for half of next year’s entry fee up front. Can also pay ½ up front before season starts. This prevents someone from traded all their picks that doesn’t intend to enter next year. Gives a new manager coming in, something they can still play with.
* If you are trading anyone drafted in the first 4 rounds (top keepers), you have to pay for half of next years entry fee up front. Can also pay ½ up front before season starts. Same as previous point and prevents collusion

Payouts:
1st place for regular season - $80 (any ties in records, goes to overall points scored and then head-to-head)
1st overall after playoffs - $600 ($590 this year – discount on new manager)
2nd overall after playoffs - $280 ($270 this year)

Waivers:

* Waiver period is from game time until Wednesday morning (Tuesday overnight into Wednesday). Remember this is when a players team starts playing (Thursday or Sunday at 1, or 4pm or Monday night, etc) during a week until Wed morning.
* Any dropped players, will be on waivers for 1 day, otherwise all available players will be free agents after waivers process on Wed morning

Other rules:

* Any rule changes that are suggested– it will go to league vote (Majority rules) for implementation the following year. If you have a suggestion – speak up….just as we did this offseason, we want everyone to be heard. The suggestion may not be implemented (league votes), but we want this to be a collaborative league.
* The only way that a change will be implemented in season is if all 12 managers agree to it
* Top 8 teams play for championship – Bottom 4 teams playoff for draft position (consolation bracket). Winner of consolation gets 1st overall. Loser of consolation gets 2nd overall, etc. Winner of championship gets 12th overall pick. Note that yahoo doesn’t allow for a consolation bracket to be set-up when 8 teams make the championship bracket. So, we will have to run it like last year. Managers will still put their best starting roster in for the playoffs but results will be tracked offline.
* There are no trade vetoes. It is a keeper/hybrid league – so everyone should know what they are doing.
* Any teams that are eliminated and do not have any games in week 16 will have their teams locked for transactions during the last week of the season. Transactions will be re-imposed after week 16 is complete.
* League schedule will be randomized (through yahoo each year). I randomized it as of 7/12/22 – so this years schedule is set.
* We talked about having a league reset every 5-6 years. Next offseason will put this to a vote and determine what everyone wants (if any reset).
