Well Oiled Machine beat expectations, knock off Gritz Blitz in 111.0-65.5 blowout
Well Oiled Machine rose to the occasion and outperformed expectations, cruising to a 111.0-65.5 victory over Gritz Blitz, who fell short of projections. Gritz Blitz pulled out to a 5.0-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Well Oiled Machine after that. They were led by Joe Mixon (153 Rush Yds, 4 Rush TDs, 58 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and Davante Adams (10 Rec, 146 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs). The Cincinnati Bengals defense (21 Pts Allowed, 228 Yds Allowed, 3 Turnovers) and Joe Burrow (206 Pass Yds, 1 Pass TD) led the charge for Gritz Blitz in defeat. Well Oiled Machine (5-4) will look to maintain their winning ways against Flyhawks, while Gritz Blitz (7-2) attempt to get some positive momentum against Can I Haz Touchdown?.
Facing the Panthers in Week 9, Mixon racked up 211 yards from scrimmage and scored 5 touchdowns. In doing so, he put up 40 points to more-than-quadruple his 9.48-point projection, the highest percent increase of any RB in the league this season. Next week, Mixon will square off against the Steelers.
Gritz Blitz
Week 10 will feature the league's two top-scoring teams, as Gritz Blitz (7-2) will go head-to-head against Can I Haz Touchdown? (6-3). Dobbins are out for Can I Haz Touchdown?.
Well Oiled Machine
A couple of 5-4 teams will be featured as Well Oiled Machine face Flyhawks next in Week 10. Flyhawks won't have Kyle Dugger. Over the past three weeks, Well Oiled Machine have put up 88 points per game, while Flyhawks have averaged 91.5 per contest.
