Wildebeasts defy expectations, defeat Huskies in 148.92-116.22 blowout
Wildebeasts brought their A game, rolling to a 148.92-116.22 victory over Huskies. Huskies jumped out to a 41.9-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind standout showings from Jonathan Taylor (41.5 points) and Joe Burrow (24.22). But it was all Wildebeasts after that. They were led by Saquon Barkley, who racked up 194 yards from scrimmage and ran for a touchdown for 46.4 points, and Ja'Marr Chase, who caught 10 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown (33.9 points). Wildebeasts improve to 1-0 on the season, while Huskies fall to 0-1.
Barkley (164 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 30 Rec Yds) scored 46.4 points in a 21-20 win over the Titans in Week 1. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 21.31-point projection. Barkley ranks #14 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Panthers next week.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with big-time moments early Sunday, but after all was said and done, Huskies became the proud owner of a 103.02-61.12 lead. For Wildebeasts, Lamar Jackson had a 55-yard touchdown pass and a 25-yard touchdown pass. Evan McPherson made the highlight reel for Huskies with a 59-yard field goal.
Sunday Late
Saquon Barkley had a 68-yard run for Wildebeasts, contributing to a 121.92-103.02 lead for the team.
Wildebeasts
Nice work deploying a lineup that won by a whopping 32.7 points this past week. We consider that to be a job done right. Let's maintain this momentum as we move on to our Week 2 matchup.
Huskies
Well, we certainly can't gripe about a lack of opportunities this time, can we? As a group, our pass-catching corps (two WR, one TE) combined to receive a whopping 19 targets in Week 1. Chemistry could be a problem, as that group notched just 11 catches.
