JWE25 manage to knock off Cody's Phenomenal Team in 105.66-85.62 blowout despite falling short of expectations

Both teams failed to rise to the occasion, but JWE25 did enough to get the best of Cody's Phenomenal Team, rolling to a 105.66-85.62 win. JWE25 got out to an early 7.90-point lead on Thursday. Cody's Phenomenal Team came back to take the lead early afternoon Sunday, powered by Christian McCaffrey (22.2 points) and Baker Mayfield (18.52). Not to be deterred, JWE25 rallied later that afternoon, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense (19 points) and Chris Godwin (14.2) put them back ahead once and for all. JWE25 (1-1) will look to earn another win against GREEN BAY PACKERS, while Cody's Phenomenal Team (1-1) will try to generate some positive momentum against The Shootist.

The key to success in football is creating mismatches. Fueled by stellar outings by Diontae Johnson and Chris Godwin, our squad really took that to heart this past week. We almost quadrupled Cody's Phenomenal Team at wide receiver (29.2 points to 7.6). Johnson had 105 receiving yards while Godwin logged 62 yards.

"Not getting enough opportunities" shouldn't really be an excuse this week for Cody's Phenomenal Team. Our pass-catching corps (two WR, one TE) were targeted a grand total of 20 times in Week 2. With just nine total receptions, that group may need to work on chemistry with their QBs.
