Toxins defeat Owen Sixteen in 114.28-73.86 drubbing
Toxins stepped up, rolling to a 114.28-73.86 victory over Owen Sixteen, who fell short of projections. Toxins grabbed a 0.80-point lead on Thursday behind Kyle Pitts (2.9 points) and never let it go. Dalvin Cook (86 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 29 Rec Yds) and Josh Allen (209 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs, 18 Rush Yds) were the leaders for Owen Sixteen in defeat. This marks the first time this season Toxins have knocked off Owen Sixteen, after falling 89.2-81.3 in their last matchup. Toxins (3-8) will look to rack up another W against Pantheon Hulks, while Owen Sixteen (6-5) take on Novaforce in an effort to get back in the win column.
While passing for 147 yards and running for 69 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Saints, Hurts scored 30.78 points this week. His scoring output was 55.8% more than his 19.76-point projection and was higher than his 23.35-point season scoring average. Hurts ranks #1 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Giants next week.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with highlight-reel moments early Sunday, but it was Toxins who grabbed the lead, 85.08-55.46. Jonathan Taylor had a 23-yard touchdown catch and a 40-yard run for Toxins, while Jalen Hurts had a 24-yard touchdown run. Deebo Samuel made the highlight reel for Owen Sixteen with a 25-yard touchdown run.
Sunday Late
Harrison Butker had a 53-yard field goal for Owen Sixteen, who trailed 108.68-73.86 after the late afternoon action.
Toxins
You know what, Toxins, we do admire the confidence. It takes guts to roll out not one, not two, but THREE players with zero points (Robert Woods, Allen Robinson II, and the Los Angeles Rams defense), while still earning a W. We just ask you to please limit those flashy shenanigans to the regular season. Do it in the postseason and we're toast.
Owen Sixteen
Unless Owen Sixteen wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not getting many looks" is definitely not an excuse this time around. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR, one TE) were targeted a whopping 23 times in Week 11. Those players might need to get some extra reps with the JUGS machine, considering they reeled in only 13 receptions.
