The Xtreme fall short of projections, lose to Nightmares in 158.95-94.35 rout
There's no way around it, The Xtreme underdelivered, at least compared to projections, as Nightmares cruised to a 158.95-94.35 victory. It didn't take long to learn who would be the frontrunner in the matchup, as Nightmares jumped out to a 67.5-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind standout showings from Jalen Hurts and D'Andre Swift. Hurts passed for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 62 yards for 37.4 points, while Swift racked up 104 yards from scrimmage and caught a touchdown pass (24.4 points). Christian Kirk (24 points) and Brandin Cooks (18.2) led the way for The Xtreme in defeat. Nightmares (1-0) will look to maintain their momentum against Rooster's, while The Xtreme (0-1) will attempt to develop some positive momentum against FDC Chiefs.
Swift racked up 104 yards from scrimmage and caught a touchdown pass as the Lions lost to the 49ers 41-33. In doing so, he put up 24.4 points and more-than-doubled his scoring projection, the highest percent increase of any player on Nightmares this week. In Week 2, Swift and the Lions will go up against the Packers.
Sunday Early
There were several players with standout plays on both teams early Sunday, but after the scoring was completed, Nightmares owned a 133.40-65.90 lead. Jalen Hurts had a 23-yard touchdown pass for Nightmares, while D'Andre Swift had a 43-yard touchdown catch. Meanwhile, Brandin Cooks had a 52-yard catch and a 40-yard catch for The Xtreme, while Christian Kirk had a 26-yard touchdown catch.
Nightmares
Nice job deploying a lineup that won by an impressive 64.6 points this past week. We deem that to be a job well done. Let's maintain this momentum as we roll into our next matchup in Week 2.
The Xtreme
Our starting QB threw two interceptions and no touchdowns? We may have quite a dilemma on our hands here: Were the Saints really that stout against the pass, or was Aaron Rodgers just that inaccurate from the pocket? The judgment is yours to make, The Xtreme, as you set your lineup in Week 2 and beyond!
