Thoroughbreds overtook Green and White in the standings, ascending to the top of the standings in BC Federal Center with a hard-fought win, securing a 241.60-212.88 victory. Green and White took a 17.20-point lead on Thursday, but Thoroughbreds held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Derek Carr, who passed for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns for 53.52 points, and Cooper Kupp, who caught 10 passes for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns (42.6 points). Kyler Murray (261 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs, 10 Rush Yds) and Michael Pittman Jr. (4 Rec, 105 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) were the leading scorers for Green and White in the loss. Thoroughbreds improve to 5-2 on the season, while Green and White fall to 4-3.
Against the Lions in Week 7, Kupp caught 10 passes for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns. In doing so, he put up 42.6 points and more-than-doubled his scoring projection, the highest percent increase of any player on Thoroughbreds this week. In Week 8, Kupp and the Rams will play the Texans.
