Burt Bombers defeat Disnerds in 122.00-92.50 rout
Despite similar records, Burt Bombers held a significant season point advantage over Disnerds coming into this one (1,574-1,253), and they lived up to their reputation with a convincing victory, cruising to a 122.00-92.50 win. Burt Bombers never trailed in this one after nabbing a 20.50-point lead on Thursday behind A.J. Brown. Patrick Mahomes (258 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs) and Ryan Succop (4-4 FG, 48 long, 2-2 XP) were the leading performers for Disnerds in the loss. This marks the first time this season Burt Bombers have taken down Disnerds, after falling 113.85-97.2 in their last matchup. Burt Bombers improve to 7-8 for the season, while Disnerds fall to 7-9.
Andrews (8 Rec, 125 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) scored 18.5 points against the Bengals in Week 16. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 8.84-point projection and was much higher than his 10.07-point season scoring average. Andrews ranks #26 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Rams next week.
Burt Bombers
Sure, we ultimately got the win, but there's not really any other way to put it, Burt Bombers. Our quarterback was severely outmatched by the opposition. Patrick Mahomes went 23-of-30 for 258 yards and three touchdowns for Disnerds, and all Matthew Stafford could produce was a 21-for-37 day, with 197 yards and one passing TD (plus three ugly interceptions).
Disnerds
Unless Disnerds wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing many opportunities" doesn't fly as an excuse this week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) collectively saw a grand total of 30 targets in Week 16. With only 17 total receptions, that group may be showing signs of chemistry issues.
