What's the sign of a strong GM? Turning a bottom-half draft slot into top-half results. Such was the case with Dirty Hippies, which flipped its No. 8 overall pick into a projected 6th-place finish in OklahomIraqis League NFC. After picking up multiple Cardinals in the early rounds (DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray), Dirty Hippies are predicted to put up a total of 2,647 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 7-6 record.

  • Jamison Crowder

Best Pick: Dirty Hippies scored a tremendous mid-round value when they picked up Crowder in the 11th round, about 20 slots later than his ADP of 128. After a season in which he snagged 59 passes for 699 yards and 6 TDs in 12 games, totaling 175 fantasy points, Crowder is projected to score 233 fantasy points with the Jets. That makes him the No. 5 WR for this squad.

  • Joe Mixon

Stretch Pick: Are you friends with Denzel Washington? Because you must have had an "Inside Man" telling you to draft Mixon with the 8th pick in the 1st round, about 14 slots earlier than his ADP of 22. Then again, you could be onto something? Projected to score 283 fantasy points this season with the Bengals, he seems set to top last year when he rushed for 428 yards and 3 TDs and snagged 21 balls for 138 yards and 1 TD in 6 games, totaling 100 fantasy points. According to projections, Mixon will slot in as the No. 1 RB for Dirty Hippies to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • Dirty Hippies are in for a rude awakening in Week 6 when they have four players on a bye (Jamison Crowder, Mike Davis, Younghoe Koo, and Michael Carter). DominationStation, your Week 6 opponent, won't be quite as limited with only two players (Zach Wilson and Deebo Samuel) on the sideline.

  • According to projected records, Dirty Hippies have one of the best schedules early in the season in OklahomIraqis League NFC with a first-half strength of schedule rated as the 3rd easiest. In spite of that, for the season as a whole, Dirty Hippies have drawn a fairly balanced schedule ranked as the 7th hardest.

  • Dirty Hippies have put together a fairly balanced lineup with an average of 5 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league. They selected one rookie (Michael Carter). In total, there were 22 rookies selected over the course of the OklahomIraqis League NFC draft.

  • With the choice of WR Jarvis Landry at No. 105, Dirty Hippies turned to the flex positions for the first time after selecting all of the individual offensive positions in the draft.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
