Unable to overcome starter's goose egg, NYC fall to Story Avenue in 84-82 thriller

Hindered by a 0-point week from Tyreek Hill, NYC were unable to overcome Story Avenue, which eked out an 84-82 victory. It wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicates, as Story Avenue led 84-60 heading into the late afternoon slate on Sunday. NYC came roaring back behind Rashaad Penny, who ran for 135 yards and a touchdown (12 points), and Brandon McManus, who made 2 of his 3 FG attempts (10). Josh Allen (314 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs, 64 Rush Yds) and Justin Jackson (64 Rush Yds, 2 Rush TDs, 98 Rec Yds) did the heavy lifting for Story Avenue in the win. This marks the first time this season Story Avenue have taken down NYC, after falling 104-99 in their last matchup.

Coach Talk

Story Avenue
Creating mismatches is a big key to success in football. Fueled by a thrilling showing from Josh Allen, we doubled up NYC at the quarterback position this past week (33 points to 15). Allen went 30-for-47 for 314 yards and three TDs in a 33-21 triumph over the Patriots.
NYC
A single missed field goal isn't typically cause for concern. Having said that, Brandon McManus went 2-for-3 on FGs instead of 3-for-3, and NYC lost the matchup by 2 points. Talk about impeccable timing...
