KayCee Chiefs received the No. 1 overall pick, and they coughed it up. Even though they had the top pick, they're projected to finish 10th in Ocean. Behind multiple Panthers in the early rounds (Christian McCaffrey and DJ Moore), KayCee Chiefs are looking at a final record of 3-11 (6,755 points).
- Justin Tucker
Leader of the Pack: KayCee Chiefs prompted a run on the position, taking Tucker with the 121st overall pick as the first K off the draft board. Three more kickers went in the ensuing round. Coming off a season in which he notched 163 fantasy points, Tucker is projected to score 198 fantasy points this season.
- Matt Ryan
Stretch Pick: Either you know something nobody else does or you got a little carried away with the selection of Ryan in the 9th round, about 25 spots earlier than his ADP of 122. Projected to score 793 fantasy points this season with the Falcons, he will attempt to perform similarly to last year when he threw for 4,581 yards and 26 TDs with 11 INTs to post 772 fantasy points. Ryan will slot in as the No. 1 QB for KayCee Chiefs, according to projections.
Draft Notes
-
Week 14 will be a rude awakening for KayCee Chiefs, as they have five players on a bye (Miles Sanders, Myles Gaskin, Indianapolis, Christian Wilkins, and Patrick Johnson). Perhaps leveling the playing field, your Week 14 opponent -- Suitz Iannuzz -- will also be facing their worst bye week with five players on the sideline.
-
KayCee Chiefs have one of the most daunting schedules in Ocean this season based on projections with a strength of schedule rated as the 3rd-most difficult. But all is not lost. Strength of schedule doesn't say anything about how involved you are. There are a number of paths to improve over the course of the season for those who remain active.
-
KayCee Chiefs appear to be trying to catch lightning in a bottle, compiling a squad with an average of 4.1 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 2nd-youngest group in the league. Driving home that point, they selected four rookies (Zach Wilson, Raymond Johnson III, Donovan Stiner, and Patrick Johnson), the highest total in the league. In total, there were 27 rookies selected over the course of the Ocean draft.
-
In spite of unfilled slots at QB and WR in the 5th round, KayCee Chiefs took RB Myles Gaskin with the 49th pick, becoming the 3rd team to fill their first flex position.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
