After receiving a positive draft slot (No. 5 overall), Goldfinger Slingers had a stellar showing. Goldfinger Slingers are predicted to finish 2nd in Ocean with a mark of 13-1 (8,414 points).

  • Mecole Hardman

Biggest Steal: Goldfinger Slingers scored a fantastic late-round value with the selection of Hardman with the 5th pick of the 23rd round, about 12 rounds later than his ADP of 129. Coming off a season in which he racked up 41 receptions for 560 yards and 4 TDs, totaling 320 fantasy points, Hardman is projected to score 471 fantasy points with the Chiefs. That makes him the No. 6 WR for this squad.

  • Daniel Jones

Reach Pick: Everyone fancies themselves the next fantasy expert nowadays, so there's no telling where you got the idea to draft Jones in the 7th round, about four rounds earlier than his ADP of 133. Maybe you're onto something, though. Projected to score 901 fantasy points this season with the Giants, he looks poised to surpass last year when he threw for 2,943 yards and 11 TDs with 10 interceptions and ran for 423 yards and 1 TD over 14 games to earn 590 fantasy points. Based on projected points, Jones will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Goldfinger Slingers to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • With the selections of Jonathan Taylor, Carson Wentz, and Michael Pittman Jr., Goldfinger Slingers had more Colts than any other team in the league. League-wide, the Bills were the most popular team, as 18 of them were selected in the draft.

  • Week 9 could present a tough challenge for Goldfinger Slingers, as they have seven players on a bye, led by Terry McLaurin, Ronald Jones II, and Devin White. Beefy Legends, your Week 9 opponent, will have four players getting the week off.

  • Going off projections, Goldfinger Slingers have drawn an easy road in Ocean this season with a strength of schedule that rates as the easiest. Don't be mistaken, though, the work has only just begun. If you're not attentive, even soft schedules can become troublesome overnight.

  • Despite open slots at QB and TE in the 6th round, Goldfinger Slingers selected RB Ronald Jones II with the 68th pick, utilizing the multiple flex positions.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
