Mavericks fall short of expectations, lose to SchMoke's Goons, 84.28-71.32

There's no sugarcoating it, Mavericks underdelivered, at least according to projections, as SchMoke's Goons came back to earn an 84.28-71.32 win. SchMoke's Goons trailed 71.32-64.80 heading into Monday night, but the unit charged back behind Russell Wilson, who passed for 247 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 16 yards for 19.48 points. Derek Carr (21.02 points) and the New England Patriots defense (14) were the leaders for Mavericks in the loss. SchMoke's Goons (10-2) will look to maintain their momentum against Adam's Amazing Team, while Mavericks (6-6) will take on Kush Gordon in an effort to right the ship.

Coach Talk

SchMoke's Goons
Hey, creating mismatches is the key to football, right? Thanks to good production from our ball-carriers, our squad definitely made that a point of emphasis this past week. We doubled Mavericks up at the running back spot (20.5 points to 9). AJ Dillon had 90 total yards and a TD, while David Johnson chipped in with 55 yards.
Mavericks
Unless Mavericks wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing enough chances" doesn't fly as an excuse this time around. Our pass-catching corps (three WR, one TE) collectively saw a hearty 26 targets in Week 12. Chemistry and timing seem to be issues as that group pulled down only 14 balls.
