Unable to overcome multiple busts, 49ers fall to THE CHINSTER 20 in 155.14-125.60 rout
Hindered by four starters who put up goose eggs (Colby Parkinson, Kaden Smith, Breshad Perriman, and Kenyan Drake), 49ers were unable to overcome THE CHINSTER 20, which rolled to a 155.14-125.60 victory. THE CHINSTER 20 took an early 7.40-point lead on Thursday. 49ers came back to take the lead on Saturday, powered by Kyler Murray (21.9 points) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (1.5). Not to be deterred, THE CHINSTER 20 got it going later that afternoon, as Joe Mixon (31.5 points) and Sony Michel (20.5) put them back ahead for good. This marks the first time this season THE CHINSTER 20 have beaten 49ers, after falling 154.42-140.64 in their last matchup.
Smythe (3 Rec, 31 Rec Yds) scored 6.1 points in a 20-3 win over the Saints in Week 16. His scoring output was 67.1% more than his 3.65-point projection and was much higher than his 3.15-point season scoring average. Smythe will face the Titans next week.

THE CHINSTER 20
Mission accomplished, THE CHINSTER 20. Nice job assembling a starting crew that blew the competition out by a whopping 29.54 points this past matchup.
49ers
"Not getting enough opportunities" really isn't an excuse this week for 49ers. As a group, our nine pass-catchers (six WR and three TE) collectively got a hearty 50 targets in Week 16. With only 29 total receptions, this group may need to work on chemistry with their QBs.
