DavBre Team lose to Runnin' Rebs in 127.42-101.06 drubbing
DavBre Team were unable to bring their A game, as Runnin' Rebs rolled to a 127.42-101.06 victory. Runnin' Rebs leapt out to a 32.40-point lead on Thursday behind 32.4 points from Elijah Moore (7 Rec, 84 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) and the Indianapolis Colts defense (30 Pts Allowed, 486 Yds Allowed, 2 Turnovers). DavBre Team came back to take the lead during the early round of games on Sunday, powered by Teddy Bridgewater (21.86 points) and Melvin Gordon III (17.5). Not to be deterred, Runnin' Rebs got it going at the last minute on Monday night, as Pat Freiermuth (21.3 points) and Darnell Mooney (20.6) put them back on top for good. Runnin' Rebs improve to 4-5 on the season, while DavBre Team fall to 4-5.
While catching 5 passes for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Bears, Freiermuth put up 21.3 points this week. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 10.08-point projection and was much higher than his 8.05-point season scoring average. Freiermuth will face the Lions next week.
Runnin' Rebs
Sure, we ultimately earned the win, but we can't deny it, Runnin' Rebs. Our starting running backs were significantly outplayed this past week. Aaron Jones (53 total yards, no TDs) logged only 14.1 points in Week 9, and the starting backfield for DavBre Team doubled us up with a score of 32.1. Let's work with the O-line to find some more holes in Week 10!
DavBre Team
Unless DavBre Team wants to go full diva-mode, then "not getting enough chances" won't cut it as an excuse this time around. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR and two TE) were targeted a healthy 44 times in Week 9. Those players should participate in some additional timing drills with their QBs, considering they reeled in only 21 catches.
