The Graveyard come up short of projections, succumb to Tompa Bay, 131.36-122.64
There's no easy way to put it, The Graveyard didn't do their job, at least according to projections, as Tompa Bay secured a 131.36-122.64 victory. The Graveyard earned a 15.60-point lead on Thursday, but Tompa Bay held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Davante Adams, who caught 14 passes for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns for 41.6 points, and Tom Brady, who passed for 239 yards and 2 touchdowns (24.46 points). Chris Carson (24.6 points) and Dak Prescott (19.64) were the leaders for The Graveyard in the loss. Tompa Bay (1-0) will look to rack up another W against Tua-finity & beyond, while The Graveyard (0-1) will try to right the ship against OnlyCams.
Facing the Vikings in Week 1, Adams caught 14 passes for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns. In doing so, he put up 41.6 points and more-than-doubled his scoring projection, the highest percent increase of any player on Tompa Bay this week. Adams will play the Lions next week.
Tompa Bay
Hey, we'll definitely take the win, Tompa Bay! Having said that, if we want to ramp our performance up to the next level, then we have found an area to improve. Our running backs were thoroughly overmatched this past week. Mark Ingram II (29 yards from scrimmage, no TDs) and Kenyan Drake (65 yards, one TD) combined for just 17.4 points in Week 1. Derrick Henry and Chris Carson doubled us up with a score of 40.7. We need to put some more effort into scouting these upcoming defenses!
The Graveyard
You can feel good knowing that your generosity this week didn't go unnoticed. It takes a true winner to help someone like Tompa Bay succeed... and when the time comes, perhaps they'll return the favor by taking a couple of kickers early in next year's draft (something like that). Keep your head up, The Graveyard!
