Project Mayhem succumb to PICKERS, 105.44-86.76
Project Mayhem failed to bring their A game, falling short of projections, as PICKERS secured a 105.44-86.76 victory. PICKERS leapt out to a 66.88-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind 44.78 points from Ryan Tannehill (389 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs) and Jonathan Taylor (91 Rush Yds, 44 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and never looked back. Aaron Jones (25.3 points) and the Seattle Seahawks defense (13) carried the flag for Project Mayhem in the loss. This marks the first time this season PICKERS have knocked off Project Mayhem, after falling 149.9-139.98 in their last matchup. PICKERS ends the season on a high note, but they'll miss the postseason with a record of 6-7. Project Mayhem (7-6) will attempt to bounce back from this loss in the playoffs.
While racking up 135 yards from scrimmage and catching a touchdown pass against the Texans, Taylor recorded 21 points this week. His scoring output nearly doubled his 11.02-point projection and was much higher than his 10.27-point season scoring average. Taylor ranks #73 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Raiders next week.
Sunday Early
Ryan Tannehill had a 22-yard touchdown pass and a 43-yard pass for PICKERS, while Jonathan Taylor had a 39-yard touchdown catch, helping PICKERS to an 80.68-13.80 lead.
Sunday Late
Aaron Jones had a 77-yard touchdown run for Project Mayhem, while Russell Wilson had a 28-yard touchdown pass for the team, who trailed 85.28-74.06 after the late afternoon slate.
PICKERS
You know, this sport is all about finding the mismatches. Not only did we double up Project Mayhem at QB (23.78 points to 10.76), we also royally dominated them at WR (44.9 to 17).
Project Mayhem
Project Mayhem will find it tough to gripe about lack of opportunity this past week. As a group, our four pass-catchers (three WR, one TE) collectively saw a hearty 26 targets in Week 13. Chemistry and timing appear to be issues as that group pulled down only 13 catches.
