Metropolitans fall short of predictions, lose to Olsztyn Tigers, 119.06-80.72
There's no easy way to put it, Metropolitans didn't do their job, at least based on projections, as Olsztyn Tigers came out on top with a 119.06-80.72 win. Olsztyn Tigers earned a 43.90-point lead on Thursday behind 35.3 points from Kareem Hunt (86 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 15 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and Tyler Boyd (7 Rec, 72 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and never looked back. Matt Ryan (28.52 points) and Austin Ekeler (14.8) were the top performers for Metropolitans in the loss. Olsztyn Tigers (1-1) will look to maintain their winning ways against #92 Squad, while Metropolitans (0-2) will seek to right the ship against The A Team.
Higbee was one of four starters to overachieve for Olsztyn Tigers this week. He scored 23.4 points (5 Rec, 54 Rec Yds, 3 Rec TDs) against the Eagles in Week 2 to more-than-triple his 6.66-point projection. Higbee ranks #44 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Bills next week.
Sunday Early
Both teams had multiple players with big-time plays early Sunday, but after the smoke cleared, Olsztyn Tigers boasted a 78.70-56.52 lead. Tyler Higbee had a 28-yard touchdown catch for Olsztyn Tigers, while Amari Cooper had a 58-yard catch. Meanwhile, Matt Ryan had a 42-yard touchdown pass and a 22-yard touchdown pass for Metropolitans, while DJ Chark Jr. had a 45-yard catch.
Olsztyn Tigers
Assembling a lineup that won by more than 38 points this past week... we did what we had to do and took care of business. Let's maintain this momentum as we move on to our Week 3 matchup.
Metropolitans
It's entirely possible that Metropolitans could be a better GM in the NFL than in fantasy football. Accumulating only 15 total targets in Week 2, their four starting pass-catchers (three WR, one TE) apparently did a superb job blocking downfield and running decoy routes.
