After receiving an advantageous draft slot (No. 3 overall), Brian McDougall had a wonderful showing. With Christian McCaffrey slated to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league, Brian McDougall are projected to finish 2nd in LEEIB Sports Private #561033 with a mark of 9-5 (2,837 points).

  • Joe Mixon

Best Pick: Brian McDougall netted a fantastic late-round bargain in choosing Mixon with the 3rd pick of the 11th round, about nine rounds later than his ADP of 12. After a season in which he rushed for 1,137 yards and 5 TDs and caught 35 passes for 287 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 126 fantasy points, Mixon is projected to score 177 fantasy points with the Bengals. That makes him a valuable No. 2 RB for this squad.

  • Matthew Stafford

Going out on a Limb: You must have run out of time, right? It had to be an autopick. There isn't any other explanation for the decision to select Stafford with the 3rd pick in the 7th round, about six rounds earlier than his ADP of 102. You might be onto something, though. Projected to score 648 fantasy points this season with the Lions, he seems set to beat last year when he threw for 2,499 yards and 19 TDs with 5 interceptions in 8 games to post 392 fantasy points. Stafford will slot in as the No. 2 QB for Brian McDougall, according to projected points.

Draft Notes

  • With only two kickers off the board, Brian McDougall saw a run and got in early, taking Wil Lutz in the 9th round. In the ensuing round, eight more kickers were chosen.

  • If you're not first, you're last. You beat your opponents to the punch at tight end, drafting George Kittle (No. 14 overall) as the first TE off the board. You were more patient at quarterback, becoming the last manager in the league to draft a QB with the selection of Drew Brees (No. 46 overall).

  • Week 6 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Brian McDougall, as they have four players on a bye (Drew Brees, Wil Lutz, Jason Myers, and Tyler Lockett). Fear not: your Week 6 opponent, Ultimate Badasses, will be tackling a similar quandary with three players (Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, and Darren Waller) getting the week off.

  • Brian McDougall have a difficult path early in the season in LEEIB Sports Private #561033 based on projected records with a strength of schedule for the first two weeks that rates as the most difficult. Despite that, for the full season, Brian McDougall should expect a fairly balanced path ranked as the 3rd hardest.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
