Despite standout performance from Smith, Cocks fall to Rebel Alliance, 164.1-147.1
Cocks had the premier scorer in the matchup with Jonnu Smith racking up 24.4 points, the fourth-best total for a TE in the league this week, but it wasn't enough to overcome Rebel Alliance, who earned a 164.1-147.1 victory. Rebel Alliance grabbed an early 26.3-point lead on Thursday. Cocks came back to take the lead during the early slate on Sunday, powered by Jonnu Smith (24.4 points) and David Montgomery (21.7). Unphased, Rebel Alliance made a run later that afternoon, as Kyler Murray (37 points) and DeAndre Hopkins (20.8) put them back on top once and for all. Rebel Alliance (2-0) will look to build on their success against SAWTOOTHS, while Cocks (1-1) will attempt to develop some positive momentum against WarEagle.
While catching 5 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys, Hurst tallied 18.2 points this week. He scored 77.9% more than his 10.23-point projection in the 40-39 loss. Hurst will face the Bears next week.
Sunday Early
Both teams had several players with big-time moments early Sunday, but after all the plays were accounted for, Cocks became the proud owner of a 130.1-92.3 lead. Raheem Mostert had an 80-yard touchdown run for Rebel Alliance, while Hayden Hurst had a 42-yard touchdown catch. Meanwhile, Jonnu Smith had a 63-yard catch for Cocks, while David Montgomery had a 28-yard touchdown catch.
Sunday Late
Kyler Murray had a 21-yard touchdown run and a 54-yard pass for Rebel Alliance, contributing to a 159.1-143.1 lead for the team.
Rebel Alliance
Identifying mismatches is a big component to winning in football. Thanks to a solid performance from Kyler Murray, we thoroughly dominated Cocks at the quarterback position this past week (37 points to 14.8). Murray went 26-for-38 for 286 yards, one TD, and an INT in a 30-15 win over the Football Team.
Cocks
Your starting QB tossed two interceptions and not a single touchdown? I guess we're presented with a couple of options here: Were the Rams genuinely that stout against the pass, or was Carson Wentz just that out-of-sync with his receivers? What do you think? Do we continue to roll with him as the starting QB of Cocks?
