Redlegs knock off Cocks, 149.20-138.70
Redlegs stepped up and outperformed expectations, earning a 149.20-138.70 victory over Cocks, who fell short of projections. Cocks nabbed a 6.60-point lead on Thursday, but Redlegs held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Jared Goff, who passed for 309 yards and 2 touchdowns for 31.45 points, and Jamison Crowder, who caught 8 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown (26 points). Carson Wentz (258 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs, 11 Rush Yds) and Jonnu Smith (5 Rec, 40 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) were the leaders for Cocks in the loss. Redlegs (1-4) will look to keep it rolling against Doughboys, while Cocks (2-3) will face Negligent Discharges in an effort to get back in the win column.
Freeman racked up 87 yards from scrimmage and ran for a touchdown as the Giants lost to the Cowboys 37-34. In doing so, he put up 16.7 points and scored 58.0% higher than his scoring projection, the highest percentage of any player on Redlegs this week. Next week, Freeman will play the Football Team.
Redlegs
Redlegs (1-4) will take on Doughboys (4-1) in Week 6. Each of these teams has multiple bye weeks to worry about in Week 6, as Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, and Latavius Murray are off for Doughboys and Jared Cook and Michael Thomas will take a seat for Redlegs. Over the last three weeks, Redlegs have put up 123.15 points per game, while Doughboys have averaged 166.67 per contest.
Cocks
The outlook doesn't immediately get much brighter for ninth-place Cocks, as they now get the distinct privilege of facing undefeated Negligent Discharges next week. Cocks might need to shuffle the deck a bit with the New Orleans Saints defense out on bye in Week 6. Negligent Discharges won't have Derek Carr, David Moore, or Bryan Edwards.
