What's the sign of a wonderful GM? Turning a bottom-half draft slot into top-half results. Such was the case with Iceman, which flipped its No. 9 overall pick into a projected 6th-place finish in Double Stuff Racing League. Iceman are predicted to put up a total of 1,891 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 7-6 record.
- David Montgomery
Best Pick: Iceman scored a nice mid-round value when they selected Montgomery in the 7th round, about 13 picks later than his ADP of 68. Coming off a rookie season in which he rushed for 889 yards and 6 TDs and recorded 25 receptions for 185 yards and 1 TD, totaling 159 fantasy points, Montgomery is projected to score 186 fantasy points with the Bears. That makes him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.
- CeeDee Lamb
Reach Pick: Are you willing to reveal your source? We'd love to know what prompted you to draft Lamb with the 4th pick of the 8th round, about 23 picks earlier than his ADP of 111. Lamb is projected to score 176 fantasy points this season with the Cowboys. Based on projected points, Lamb will slot in as the No. 3 WR for Iceman to begin the season.
Draft Notes
-
With only three defenses off the board, Iceman foresaw a run developing and got in early, taking Baltimore in the 12th round. In the following round, six more defensive units came off the board.
-
Fashionably late? You became the last manager in the league to draft a tight end with your selection of T.J. Hockenson (No. 105 overall).
-
With a strength of schedule that ranks as the 2nd-easiest based on projected records, Iceman have drawn one of the most coveted schedules in Double Stuff Racing League this season.
-
Despite openings at QB, WR, and TE in the 4th round, Iceman drafted RB Le'Veon Bell at No. 40, filling the WR/RB flex position instead of a higher leverage position. They were the third squad to make their first flex pick.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
