Bless~Up received a solid draft position, and they coughed it up. Even though they had the No. 3 overall pick, they're projected to finish 11th in Double Stuff Racing League. Bless~Up are looking at a final record of 2-11 (1,802 points).

  • Rob Gronkowski

Biggest Steal: What a tremendous mid-round value for Bless~Up, who selected Gronkowski in the 9th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 79. Gronkowski is projected to score 139 fantasy points with the Buccaneers, making him a valuable No. 1 TE for this squad.

  • Cam Newton

Stretch Pick: Everyone thinks they're the next fantasy expert nowadays, so there's no telling where you got the idea to draft Newton at No. 94, about 21 spots earlier than his ADP of 115. Maybe you're onto something, though. Projected to score 322 fantasy points this season with the Patriots, he appears poised to improve on last year when he threw for 572 yards with 1 INT in 2 games, posting 20 fantasy points. According to projections, Newton will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Bless~Up to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • Fashionably late? With the selection of QB Cam Newton (No. 94 overall), you became the last manager in the league to draft a quarterback.

  • Week 9 will be a rude awakening for Bless~Up, as they have five players on a bye (Odell Beckham Jr., Cooper Kupp, A.J. Green, Kareem Hunt, and Los Angeles). Your Week 9 opponent, Iceman, won't be quite as limited with only two players (Baker Mayfield and Joe Mixon) on the sideline.

  • According to projections, Bless~Up have one of the toughest schedules in Double Stuff Racing League this season with a strength of schedule that ranks as the 2nd-most difficult. But that doesn't mean you're destined to lose. Strength of schedule is just a number. Fantasy football rewards those who put in the work, so be sure to follow your top players' health.

  • Despite openings at QB and TE in the 5th round, Bless~Up chose WR Tyler Lockett with the 51st pick, filling the WR/RB flex position rather than a position of higher need.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
