Offensively challenged Coupe beat X-Factor in 83.5-82.5 battle
Despite posting only the 10th-highest point total in the league for the week, Coupe eked out an 83.5-82.5 win over X-Factor. It wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicates, as Coupe led 83.5-57.5 heading into Monday night. X-Factor made them sweat behind Adam Thielen (4 Rec, 43 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) and Allen Robinson II (6 Rec, 43 Rec Yds). Coupe were led by DeAndre Hopkins (7 Rec, 127 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and Deshaun Watson (163 Pass Yds, 1 Pass TD, 36 Rush Yds). Coupe (3-7) will look to add to their success against El Capitán, while X-Factor (3-7) will meet Ball Squanchers in an effort to right the ship.
Brate overachieved for the first time this season, scoring 10.5 points against his 2.36-point projection. In a 46-23 win over the Panthers, he caught 3 passes for 31 yards and a touchdown. Brate will face the Rams next week.
Coupe
Hey, we'll definitely take the win, Coupe! Having said that, if we want to take our performance to the next level, then we have found an area to improve; our quarterback was thoroughly outplayed this past week. Tom Brady went 28-of-39 for 341 yards and three touchdowns for X-Factor, and all Deshaun Watson could manage was a 20-for-30 day, with 163 yards and one passing TD. Let's spend some extra time this week working with our receivers!
X-Factor
Unless X-Factor wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not seeing many opportunities" can't be a reasonable excuse this week. As a group, our four pass-catchers (three WR, one TE) collectively got a grand total of 22 targets in Week 10. Those players should participate in some additional timing drills with their QBs, considering they recorded only 12 receptions.
