What's the sign of a great GM? Turning a bottom-half draft slot into top-half results. Such was the case with Nick's Notable Team, which flipped its No. 8 overall pick into a projected 6th-place finish in Hiawatha Premier League. After picking up multiple Chiefs in the early rounds (Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes), Nick's Notable Team are predicted to put up a total of 1,587 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 6-7 record.

  • Sammy Watkins

Biggest Steal: Nick's Notable Team scored a late-round value in choosing Watkins in the 15th round, about four rounds later than his ADP of 128. Following a season in which he snagged 52 balls for 673 yards and 3 TDs in 13 games, totaling 87 fantasy points, Watkins is projected to score 129 fantasy points with the Chiefs. That makes him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

  • Olabisi Johnson

Reach Pick: It seems everyone thinks they're the next fantasy expert nowadays, so there's no telling where you got the idea to draft Johnson at No. 65, about three rounds earlier than his ADP of 112. Projected to score 52 fantasy points this season with the Vikings, he seems set to outperform his rookie year when he racked up 31 catches for 294 yards and 3 TDs over 13 games to post 48 fantasy points. Johnson will slot in as the No. 5 WR for Nick's Notable Team, based on projected points.

Draft Notes

  • If you're not first, you're last. You got out ahead of your opponents at both quarterback and tight end, becoming the first team to draft a player at each position with Patrick Mahomes (No. 17 overall) and Travis Kelce (No. 8 overall). You were more patient at wide receiver, becoming the last manager in the league to draft a WR with the selection of Tyler Lockett (No. 41 overall).

  • Nick's Notable Team face a tough task in Week 7 when they have five players on a bye (Kirk Cousins, Dan Bailey, Justin Jefferson, Alexander Mattison, and Olabisi Johnson). Your Week 7 opponent, Packer backers, won't be nearly as short-handed with only two players (T.Y. Hilton and Jonnu Smith) getting the week off.

  • Based on projections, Nick's Notable Team have drawn one of the least daunting schedules in Hiawatha Premier League this season with a strength of schedule rated as the 3rd easiest.

  • Nick's Notable Team clearly focused on scooping up elite talent, having compiled a top-heavy squad. Collectively, the top players from each position are quite potent, projected to tally the most points in Hiawatha Premier League. Meanwhile, the rest of the roster doesn't inspire as much optimism, as they're expected to put up the 2nd-lowest point total.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
