Rookie turned a solid draft slot (No. 3 overall) into a respectable performance. Rookie are projected to finish 8-5 (1,623 points), which would place them 4th in Hiawatha Premier League.

  • Ke'Shawn Vaughn

Biggest Steal: What a great late-round value for Rookie, who selected Vaughn at No. 171, about five rounds later than his ADP of 118. Vaughn is projected to score 39 fantasy points with the Buccaneers, making him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.

  • Adrian Peterson

Going out on a Limb: You may have been a little overeager when deciding to draft Peterson at No. 94, about two rounds earlier than his ADP of 125. Projected to score 78 fantasy points this season with the Redskins, he will need to outperform expectations to take a step forward from last year when he rushed for 898 yards and 5 TDs and grabbed 17 passes for 142 yards, totaling 130 fantasy points. According to projected points, Peterson will slot in as the No. 3 RB for Rookie to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • With only two defenses off the board, Rookie foresaw a run on the horizon and got in early, taking Baltimore with the 10th pick of the 10th round. In the round that followed, four more defensive units were snatched up.

  • Week 8 will be a difficult challenge for Rookie, as they have five players on a bye (Courtland Sutton, David Johnson, Baltimore, Christian Kirk, and Adrian Peterson). Your Week 8 opponent, Nick's Notable Team, won't be quite as short-handed with only one player (Noah Fant) on the sideline.

  • Based on projected records, Rookie have one of the hardest schedules late in the season in Hiawatha Premier League with a second-half strength of schedule that ranks as the 3rd-most difficult. Despite that, for the full season, Rookie face a pretty fair schedule that ranks as the 6th hardest.

  • Even with offensive openings at QB and TE in the 5th round, Rookie chose WR DJ Chark Jr. at No. 51, filling the WR/RB flex position rather than a position of greater need. They were the second squad to make their first flex pick.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent.
