It's going to be a long year if Packer backers handles pressure during the season the way they did in this draft. Picking No. 12 overall, they were clearly ill-equipped. Packer backers are projected to finish 9th in Hiawatha Premier League with a record of 5-8 (1,553 points).

  • Brandon Aiyuk

Biggest Steal: Packer backers netted a nice late-round bargain when they picked up Aiyuk at No. 156, about two rounds later than his ADP of 131. Aiyuk is projected to score 135 fantasy points with the 49ers, making him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

  • Ronald Jones II

Going out on a Limb: We're going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you fell asleep right before selecting Jones II with the 1st pick of the 6th round, about 28 slots earlier than his ADP of 89. Maybe you're onto something, though. Projected to score 146 fantasy points this season with the Buccaneers, he looks poised to surpass last year when he ran for 724 yards and 6 TDs and caught 31 balls for 309 yards to post 135 fantasy points. Based on projections, Jones II will slot in as the No. 3 RB for Packer backers to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • With only one defense off the board, Packer backers saw a run on the horizon and got in early, taking Pittsburgh with the 1st pick in the 10th round. Three more defensive units were snatched up in the round that followed.

  • Packer backers face a tough task in Week 10 when they have four players on a bye (Matt Ryan, Austin Ekeler, Harrison Butker, and Darrel Williams). Perhaps leveling the playing field, your Week 10 opponent -- Jake's Swag Team -- will also be facing their worst bye week with three players (Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, and Mike Williams) getting the week off.

  • According to projections, Packer backers won't have an easy path late in the season in Hiawatha Premier League with a second-half strength of schedule ranked as the most difficult. In spite of that, for the full season, Packer backers should expect a pretty fair schedule that ranks as the 5th toughest.

  • Despite an opening at QB in the 6th round, Packer backers drafted RB Ronald Jones II at No. 61, filling the WR/RB flex position instead of a higher leverage position.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
