Lizzo rose to the occasion and outperformed expectations, coming out on top with a 247.18-178.00 victory over Lancaster, who fell short of projections. Lancaster nabbed a 10.40-point lead on Thursday, but Lizzo held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Kyler Murray (62.2 points) and Jalen Hurts (57.2). Melvin Gordon III (61 Rush Yds, 2 Rush TDs, 20 Rec Yds) and Aaron Rodgers (143 Pass Yds, 1 Pass TD, 26 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD) led the way for Lancaster in the loss. This marks the first time this season Lizzo have gotten the best of Lancaster, after falling 194.95-150.43 in their last matchup. Lizzo will look to not lose that winning feeling in next week's semifinal round, while Lancaster attempt to bounce back and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.
While passing for 338 yards , running for 63 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns against the Cardinals, Hurts put up 57.2 points this week. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 26.42-point projection and was much higher than his 8.39-point season scoring average. Hurts will face the Cowboys next week.
