Lancaster overcome starter's goose egg, top Finite Incantatem in 206.33-109.55 rout
Both teams were frustrated by starters who put up 0 points, but Lancaster were able to persevere and earn the victory, cruising to a 206.33-109.55 win over Finite Incantatem. Finite Incantatem took a 7.4-point lead on Saturday behind Josh Jacobs (8.4 points), but Lancaster held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Alvin Kamara (155 Rush Yds, 6 Rush TDs, 17 Rec Yds) and Aaron Rodgers (231 Pass Yds, 4 Pass TDs, 19 Rush Yds). Philip Rivers (23.5 points) and the Seattle Seahawks defense (18.15) did everything they could for Finite Incantatem in the loss. Lancaster improve to 10-6 for the season, while Finite Incantatem fall to 8-8.
Kamara scored 64.2 points in a 52-33 win over the Vikings to more-than-triple his 21.3-point projection. He racked up 172 yards from scrimmage and ran for 6 touchdowns to beat his projection by the fourth-highest percentage of any RB in the league this season. Next week, Kamara will face the Panthers.
Lancaster
You know what, Lancaster, we do certainly admire the confidence. Deploying a starter with zero points (Terry McLaurin), while still getting the win... that's borderline arrogant. We just ask you to please keep that flashy, show-off type of stuff to the regular season. Can you imagine how silly we'd look if we let it happen in the playoffs?
Finite Incantatem
Hey, Finite Incantatem, what did your pass-catchers do to get written out of their teams' game plans this week? Seeing just seven targets as a group in Week 16, our starting receiver crew (three WR, zero TE) obviously need to get the attention of their respective offensive coordinators this week in practice.
