Back-and-forth battle ends with Vandals topping The Xtreme in 160.25-108.90 rout

Well, that was thrilling! After a back-and-forth matchup featuring three lead changes, Vandals earned a convincing victory over The Xtreme, cruising to a 160.25-108.90 win. The Xtreme grabbed an early 12.60-point lead on Thursday. Vandals came back to take the lead during the early slate on Sunday, powered by standout efforts from Allen Robinson II (27.3 points) and Mike Davis (26.3). Unphased, The Xtreme rallied later that afternoon to take a 3.1-point lead behind Matt Ryan (11.5 points) and Logan Thomas (10.3). But Vandals came back again later that night, as Stefon Diggs (29.1 points) and Ben Roethlisberger (19.35) put them back on top for good. This marks the first time this season Vandals have knocked off The Xtreme, after falling 130.95-114.6 in their last matchup. Vandals will look to keep winning in next week's semifinal round, while The Xtreme seek to bounce back and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.

Coach Talk

Vandals
Here's a list of sports scenarios where it's borderline acceptable to go 0-for-2: A hitter's line in baseball, the Jazz facing MJ's Bulls in the NBA Finals, and a double-fault in tennis. That's just about it. Going 0-for-2 on field goal attempts this past week? Sounds like Wil Lutz might be kicking himself back into the free agent pool after that sort of performance.
The Xtreme
Lots of cake, no icing: The eight offensive position starters on The Xtreme (four WRs, three RBs, one TE) combined to register a healthy 504 yards from scrimmage. Not one of those players could find his way to the end zone in Week 14.
