Gardettos brush off projections, defeat Puremichigan in 130.05-87.45 rout
Gardettos rose to the occasion and beat expectations, rolling to a 130.05-87.45 victory over Puremichigan, who fell short of projections. Gardettos pulled out to an early 8.80-point lead on Thursday. Puremichigan came back to take the lead early afternoon Sunday, powered by Lamar Jackson (36.25 points) and Justin Tucker (9). Not to be deterred, Gardettos rallied later that afternoon, as Kyler Murray (30.6 points) and the New Orleans Saints defense (19.95) put them back in the lead for good. Gardettos (1-0) will look to earn another W against Burt Bombers, while Puremichigan (0-1) will try to get some positive momentum against Chicken Dinner.
The Saints defense allowed 23 points, surrendered 310 yards, and forced 3 turnovers in a 34-23 win over the Buccaneers. In doing so, they put up 19.95 points to scored 64.1% higher than their 12.16-point projection, the highest percentage of any player on Gardettos this week. In Week 2, the Saints will face the Raiders.
