Turning a bottom-half draft slot into top-half results is the sign of a strong effort by the GM. Such was the case with Rebellion, which flipped its No. 7 overall pick into a projected 5th-place finish in CZNFL A League 20. Rebellion are predicted to put up a total of 1,840 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 7-6 record.

  • Leonard Fournette

Biggest Steal: Rebellion netted a nice mid-round bargain in choosing Fournette with the 7th pick in the 7th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 54. Following a season in which he rushed for 1,152 yards and 3 TDs and caught 76 passes for 522 yards, totaling 221 fantasy points, Fournette is projected to score 174 fantasy points with the Buccaneers. That makes him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.

  • Marvin Jones Jr.

Going out on a Limb: Everyone, it seems, considers themselves the next fantasy expert nowadays, so there's no telling where you got the idea to choose Jones Jr. in the 8th round, about 19 slots earlier than his ADP of 109. Then again, maybe you're onto something? Projected to score 186 fantasy points this season with the Lions, he looks set to outperform last year when he had 62 receptions for 779 yards and 9 TDs in 13 games to post 163 fantasy points. Based on projected points, Jones Jr. will slot in as the No. 3 WR for Rebellion to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • The early bird gets the worm. You beat your opponents to the punch at tight end, drafting Travis Kelce (No. 18 overall) as the first TE off the board.

  • Week 6 could be a rude awakening for Rebellion, as they have three players on a bye (Cam Newton, Alvin Kamara, and Chris Carson). Fear not: High Fives, your Week 6 opponent, will be facing a similar quandary with two players (Sony Michel and Julian Edelman) on a bye.

  • Going off projected records, Rebellion have one of the most challenging schedules early in the season in CZNFL A League 20 with a first-half strength of schedule ranked as the 3rd-most difficult. In spite of that, for the season as a whole, Rebellion have drawn a pretty fair path that rates as the 6th hardest.

  • Rebellion are trying to catch lightning in a bottle, compiling a lineup with an average of 4.2 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 3rd-youngest group in the league. Driving home that point, they selected one rookie (Cam Akers). In total, there were 19 rookies selected over the course of the CZNFL A League 20 draft.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
