Brian's Team overcome multiple busts, defeat The Warriors, 92.34-85.68
Both teams were hindered by starters who put up negative or 0 points, but Brian's Team were able to persevere and earn the win, coming out on top with a 92.34-85.68 victory over The Warriors. The Warriors leapt out to a 20.30-point lead on Thursday behind impressive showings from Mark Ingram II, who ran for 76 yards and a touchdown for 23.1 points, and the Baltimore Ravens defense, who allowed 21 points, surrendered 310 yards, and forced 2 turnovers (7 points). But Brian's Team held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Chris Carson (26.2 points) and Carson Wentz (21.54). This marks the second time this season Brian's Team have knocked off The Warriors, after winning 75.14-66.12 in their last matchup. Brian's Team improve to 8-7 for the season, while The Warriors fall to 6-9.
Carson ran for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Seahawks beat the Panthers 30-24. In doing so, he put up 26.2 points to scored 57.9% higher than his 16.59-point projection, the highest percentage of any player on Brian's Team this week. Next week, Carson will square off against the Cardinals.
Sunday Early
There were players with highlight-reel moments on both teams early Sunday, but it was Brian's Team who took the lead, 81.24-50.70. For Brian's Team, Aaron Jones had a 21-yard touchdown run. Chris Godwin made the highlight reel for The Warriors with a 51-yard catch.
Sunday Late
Nick Chubb had a 33-yard touchdown run for The Warriors, while Kirk Cousins had a 46-yard pass for the team, who trailed 92.34-85.68 after the late games.
Brian's Team
Well, we do appreciate the confidence this past week, Brian's Team. Starting a starter with negative points (plus a zero-point player) while still getting a W... talk about arrogance. All we ask is to please limit that flashy, show-off type of stuff to the regular season. Try it in the playoffs and we're toast.
The Warriors
There's a possibility that The Warriors could be a better talent scout in the NFL than in fantasy football. Seeing just seven total targets this past week, their four starting pass-catchers (three WR, one TE) apparently did a superb job blocking downfield and running decoy routes.
