Paladins knock off Team Thanos, 118.30-111.24

Despite similar records, Team Thanos held a substantial season point advantage over Paladins coming into this one (723-488). But the trend wouldn't continue this week with Paladins earning a 118.30-111.24 victory. Team Thanos took a 7.90-point lead on Thursday, but Paladins held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by DJ Chark Jr. (32.4 points) and Sony Michel (18.3). Jared Goff (22.9 points) and Dalvin Cook (21.8) led the way for Team Thanos in the loss. Paladins (1-4) will look to earn another win against $trictlysBelieveItSB, while Team Thanos (2-3) take on Westerosi Brangals in an effort to get back on track.

Coach Talk

Paladins
You know what, Paladins, we do appreciate the confidence. It's a bold move to deploy a starter with zero points (Greg Olsen), while still getting the W! We just ask you to please keep that flashy, show-off type of stuff to the early regular season. Try it in the playoffs and we'll be finished.
Team Thanos
Well, we can't really complain about a lack of opportunities this week, can we? As a group, our pass-catching corps (four WR, one TE) combined to see a healthy 35 targets in Week 5. Timing and chemistry appear to be issues as that group managed just 20 receptions.
