Brian's Team fall short of projections, lose to Manchester Mercs in 104.1-51.7 rout

Brian's Team failed to rise to the occasion, as Manchester Mercs rolled to a 104.1-51.7 win. There wasn't much drama in this one, as Manchester Mercs grabbed a 45.3-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind 49.3 points from Christian McCaffrey (93 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 86 Rec Yds) and Philip Rivers (310 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs). Greg Zuerlein (13 points) and Deshaun Watson (11.6) did their part for Brian's Team in the loss. Manchester Mercs (3-1) will look to keep it rolling against Russ's Miracle Water, while Brian's Team (2-2) will face INDY's Team in an effort to right the ship.

Coach Talk

Manchester Mercs
Hey, creating mismatches is the key to football, right? With some stellar yardage production from our running backs, our team certainly made that happen this week. Our three backfield starters recorded 215 more yards from scrimmage than the RBs of Brian's Team (288 total yards to 73), and we ended up royally dominating them at the position (55.3 points to 8.8).
Brian's Team
Ugh, talk about under-utilized: As a group, the starting backfield for Brian's Team collectively logged just three receptions on five targets this past week. Tell those offensive coordinators to draw up a couple of screen plays in Week 5!
