Redlegs beat predictions, defeat SAWTOOTHS, 162.15-145.45
Redlegs brought their A game, emerging victorious with a 162.15-145.45 win over SAWTOOTHS, who fell short of projections. SAWTOOTHS grabbed a 5.00-point lead on Thursday, but Redlegs held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Christian McCaffrey, who racked up 179 yards from scrimmage and ran for a touchdown for 33.9 points, and Philip Rivers, who passed for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns (27.5 points). James Conner (42 Rush Yds, 83 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and Jarvis Landry (8 Rec, 167 Rec Yds) were the top scorers for SAWTOOTHS in the loss. Redlegs (2-2) will look to sustain their momentum against Steel Reign, while SAWTOOTHS (3-1) will face off against Negligent Discharges in an effort to right the ship.
While allowing only 3 points, surrendering 175 yards, and forcing 2 turnovers against the Bengals, the Steelers defense tallied 19 points this week. They more-than-doubled their 7.79-point projection and overachieved for the first time this season. The Steelers defense ranks #8 among fantasy DEFs this season and will face the Ravens next week.
