Buckeye Bulldogs fall short of projections, succumb to Tenerifes, 119.96-114.18
There's no sugarcoating it, Buckeye Bulldogs dropped the ball, at least according to projections, as Tenerifes secured a 119.96-114.18 victory. Buckeye Bulldogs leapt out to a 37.08-point lead on Thursday behind an impressive showing from Lamar Jackson. But Tenerifes held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Chris Carson, who ran for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns for 26.2 points, and Ryan Tannehill, who passed for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns (25.16 points). This marks the second time this season Tenerifes have taken down Buckeye Bulldogs, after winning 133.94-106.6 in their last matchup. Tenerifes will look to clinch the championship next week, while Buckeye Bulldogs attempt to bounce back and finish the season with a win in the 3rd Place game.
Thursday
Lamar Jackson had a 33-yard touchdown pass and a 24-yard touchdown pass for Buckeye Bulldogs, helping Buckeye Bulldogs to a 37.08-0.00 lead.
Sunday Early
There were players with highlight-reel plays on both teams early Sunday, but it was Buckeye Bulldogs who emerged with the lead, 90.18-63.26. For Tenerifes, Ryan Tannehill had a 60-yard pass. James White made the highlight reel for Buckeye Bulldogs with a 23-yard touchdown catch.
Sunday Late
Nick Chubb had a 33-yard touchdown run for Tenerifes, while Stefon Diggs had a 46-yard catch, helping Tenerifes to a 119.96-108.18 lead.
Tenerifes
Nice job, Tenerifes. Deploying a starting crew that tallied almost 120 points in Week 15.
Buckeye Bulldogs
Unless Buckeye Bulldogs wants to go full diva-mode, then "not getting many opportunities" doesn't fly as an excuse this week. As a group, our trio of pass-catchers (two WR and one TE) were targeted a respectable 22 times in Week 15. Those players should spend extra practice time working with their QBs, considering they reeled in just 10 balls.
