Both teams underperformed projections, but So.Cal Surfer Dudes did enough to knock off Jersey Boyz, securing a 278.25-236.40 victory. Jersey Boyz earned a 35.20-point lead on Thursday, but So.Cal Surfer Dudes held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Lamar Jackson, who passed for 324 yards and 5 touchdowns for 72.8 points, and Marlon Mack, who ran for 174 yards and a touchdown (58.9 points). Russell Wilson (196 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs) and the Chicago Bears defense (10 Pts Allowed, 213 Yds Allowed) did everything they could for Jersey Boyz in the loss. So.Cal Surfer Dudes (1-0) will look to keep it rolling against Iowa Barnstormers, while Jersey Boyz (0-1) will take on Rhode Island Reds in an effort to get their first victory.
Mack ran for 174 yards and a touchdown as the Colts lost to the Chargers 30-24. In doing so, he put up 58.9 points to more-than-double his 24.21-point projection, the highest percent increase of any player on So.Cal Surfer Dudes this week. Mack will play the Titans in Week 2.
Sunday Early
There were players with highlight-reel moments on both teams early Sunday, but after all the plays were accounted for, So.Cal Surfer Dudes had a 138.35-93.90 lead. Lamar Jackson had an 83-yard touchdown pass and a 47-yard touchdown pass for So.Cal Surfer Dudes, while Greg Zuerlein had a 56-yard field goal. Kirk Cousins made the highlight reel for Jersey Boyz with a 23-yard touchdown pass.
