Back-and-forth battle ends with Marino's Mafia coming back to beat Ertz's Eagles, 91.48-83.94
Well, that was exciting! After a back-and-forth matchup featuring three lead changes, Marino's Mafia earned a come-from-behind win over Ertz's Eagles, coming back for a 91.48-83.94 victory. Despite trailing 73.94-71.95 heading into Monday night, Marino's Mafia charged back behind Michael Thomas (12 Rec, 128 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD). Kenyan Drake (38.73 points) and Aaron Rodgers (16.68) were the leaders for Ertz's Eagles in the loss. This marks the first time this season Marino's Mafia have gotten the best of Ertz's Eagles, after falling 82.31-70.52 in their last matchup. Marino's Mafia will look to keep it going in the Championship next week, while Ertz's Eagles attempt to rebound and lock up 3rd Place.
While catching 8 passes for 102 yards against the Buccaneers, Amendola recorded 11.8 points this week. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 4.31-point projection and was much higher than his 4.72-point season scoring average. Amendola will face the Broncos next week.
Marino's Mafia
Hey, we'll definitely take the win, Marino's Mafia! Having said that, if we want to ramp our performance up to the next level, then here's one area where we can improve. Our running backs were thoroughly outplayed this past week. Held back by Jamaal Williams (33 total yards, no TDs) and Patrick Laird (54 yards, no TDs), our three RBs combined for only 9.47 points in Week 15, while the starting backfield for Ertz's Eagles literally quadrupled us with a score of 42.
Ertz's Eagles
Welp, we can't really whine about a shortage of opportunities this time, can we? As a group, our four pass-catchers (two WR and two TE) were targeted a grand total of 18 times in Week 15. With only 11 total catches, this group may be showing signs of chemistry issues.
