Thunderstorm find way to top Caribbean Bombers 127-101

Both teams were unable to rise to the occasion, coming up short of projections, but Thunderstorm did enough to knock off Caribbean Bombers, securing a 127-101 win. Thunderstorm earned a 57-point lead on Thursday behind impressive efforts from Tom Brady and Sony Michel. Brady passed for 334 yards for 44 points, while Michel racked up 113 yards from scrimmage (12 points). Caribbean Bombers bounced back to take the lead during the early games on Sunday, powered by Patrick Mahomes (31 points) and Leonard Fournette (17). Unphased, Thunderstorm made a run later that afternoon, as Julio Jones (18 points) and Brett Maher (11) put them back in the lead once and for all. This marks the second time this season Thunderstorm have gotten the best of Caribbean Bombers, after winning 148-139 in their last matchup. Thunderstorm (5-1) will look to keep it rolling against Cedric's TPSer's, while Caribbean Bombers (2-4) try to get some positive momentum against MARTIANS.

Coach Talk

Thunderstorm
Three wide receivers, two running backs, one tight end, zero touchdowns: The six starting offensive skill players on Thunderstorm collectively gained a whopping 402 yards from scrimmage. Not one of those players could find his way to the end zone in Week 6.
Caribbean Bombers
Unless Caribbean Bombers wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not seeing enough chances" is definitely not a viable excuse this week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) collectively saw a grand total of 28 targets in Week 6. With just 15 total catches, this group may be showing signs of chemistry issues.
