Despite top scorer Mahomes, Caribbean Bombers fall to Sledgehammers, 155-140

Caribbean Bombers had the highest scorer in the league this week with QB Patrick Mahomes accumulating 60 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Sledgehammers, who came out on top with a 155-140 victory. Sledgehammers took a 75-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind a combined 49 points from Dalvin Cook (154 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 37 Rec Yds) and Tyler Boyd (10 Rec, 122 Rec Yds) and never looked back. Patrick Mahomes (60 points) and Odell Beckham Jr. (28) were the top scorers for Caribbean Bombers in the loss. Sledgehammers (2-0) will look to notch another win against Warriors of Angels, while Caribbean Bombers (0-2) will take on Cedric's TPSer's in an effort to right the ship.

Hey, we'll definitely take the win, Sledgehammers! Having said that, if we want to ramp our performance up to the next level, then here's one area where we can improve: our QB was utterly outplayed by the opposition. Patrick Mahomes went 30-of-44 for 443 yards and four touchdowns for Caribbean Bombers, and all Baker Mayfield could muster was a 19-for-35 day, with 325 yards and one passing TD (plus an ugly interception). Let's put some extra effort into scouting those upcoming defenses!

"Not getting many opportunities" really isn't an excuse this week for Caribbean Bombers. Our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) collectively got a grand total of 33 targets in Week 2. Chemistry appears to be an issue, as that group notched only 14 catches.
