Unable to overcome multiple busts, Cowboy Chip fall to Caribbean Bombers in 147-118 rout

Impeded by three starters who put up goose eggs (Adam Thielen, Antonio Brown, and Le'Veon Bell), Cowboy Chip were unable to overcome Caribbean Bombers, which rolled to a 147-118 victory. Cowboy Chip nabbed a 21-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Caribbean Bombers after that. They were led by Drew Brees (349 Pass Yds, 5 Pass TDs) and Todd Gurley II (79 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 34 Rec Yds). Matt Ryan (313 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs) and Christian McCaffrey (53 Rush Yds, 82 Rec Yds) led the charge for Cowboy Chip in the loss. This marks the second time this season Caribbean Bombers have taken down Cowboy Chip, after winning 151-98 in their last matchup. Caribbean Bombers will look to not lose that winning feeling in the semifinal round next week, while Cowboy Chip attempt to rebound and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.

Coach Talk

Caribbean Bombers
This sport is all about creating mismatches. Fueled by an awesome outing from Drew Brees, we doubled up Cowboy Chip at the quarterback position this past week (71 points to 32). Brees breezed through the 49ers defense by putting up 349 yards and five passing touchdowns.
Cowboy Chip
Hey, it's possible that Cowboy Chip may be a better GM in real football than in fantasy. Accumulating only eight targets combined this past week, their three wide receivers apparently spent the majority of their games blocking downfield and running decoy routes.
