KGG FB fall short of projections, succumb to Streamwood Steamers in 89-37 rout

There's no sugarcoating it, KGG FB dropped the ball, at least according to projections, as Streamwood Steamers cruised to an 89-37 victory. KGG FB jumped out to a 14-point lead on Thursday behind 20 points from Wil Lutz (4-4 FG, 47 long, 2-2 XP) and Alvin Kamara (61 Rush Yds, 23 Rec Yds). But it was all Streamwood Steamers after that. They were led by Deshaun Watson, who passed for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns for 35 points, and Miles Sanders, who racked up 105 yards from scrimmage and caught a touchdown pass (16 points). Streamwood Steamers (10-3) will look to keep it rolling in the playoffs. KGG FB will be home for the playoffs, finishing the season at 3-10.

Coach Talk

Streamwood Steamers
A big key to success in football is exploiting the mismatches. Thanks to a sound outing by Deshaun Watson, we tripled KGG FB at the quarterback position this past week (35 points to 11). Watson went 18-for-25 for 234 yards and three TDs in a six-point win over the Patriots.
KGG FB
Unless KGG FB wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not getting enough looks" doesn't fly as an excuse this time around. Our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) were targeted a respectable 17 times in Week 13. Chemistry seems to be a problem, as that group recorded just 10 receptions.
