TechN9ne come up short of expectations, lose to Fair Warning in 142.00-120.36 rout
There's no sugarcoating it, TechN9ne underperformed, at least according to projections, as Fair Warning cruised to a 142.00-120.36 win. TechN9ne got out to a 20.30-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Fair Warning after that. They were led by Lamar Jackson, who passed for 236 yards and ran for 152 yards and a touchdown for 32 points, and James Conner, who racked up 119 yards from scrimmage and scored 2 touchdowns (28.3 points). Tom Brady (334 Pass Yds) and Miles Sanders (3 Rec, 86 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) did their part for TechN9ne in defeat. Fair Warning (4-2) will look to maintain their momentum against The Long Haulers, while TechN9ne (2-4) will attempt to develop some positive momentum against Tampa Bay Hitmen.
While racking up 119 yards from scrimmage and scoring 2 touchdowns against the Chargers, Conner tallied 28.3 points this week. His scoring output nearly doubled his 15.07-point projection and was much higher than his 15.48-point season scoring average. Conner ranks #41 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Dolphins next week.
Sunday Early
There were players with standout moments on both teams early Sunday, but after all the plays were accounted for, Fair Warning became the proud owner of a 66.00-60.73 lead. For Fair Warning, Lamar Jackson had a 21-yard touchdown run. Miles Sanders made the highlight reel for TechN9ne with a 32-yard touchdown catch and a 45-yard catch.
Sunday Night
James Conner had a 26-yard touchdown catch for Fair Warning, helping the team to a 131.60-82.83 lead.
Monday
Kenny Golladay had a 66-yard catch for TechN9ne.
Fair Warning
You know what, Fair Warning, we do certainly admire the confidence. It takes moxie to play a starter with zero points (Evan Engram), while still earning the win. Try those shenanigans next week against The Long Haulers and see what happens!
TechN9ne
"Not getting many looks" shouldn't really be an excuse this week for TechN9ne. Our pass-catching corps (four WR, one TE) were targeted a respectable 26 times in Week 6. Chemistry could be an issue, as that group pulled down just 11 catches.
