Soonerjack hand Arrogant Americans fifth straight loss, 138.75-121.30
Soonerjack earned a 138.75-121.30 victory to hand Arrogant Americans their fifth consecutive loss to open the season. Arrogant Americans leapt out to a 35.25-point lead on Thursday behind impressive showings from Chris Carson (19.3 points) and Tyler Lockett (15.95). But Soonerjack held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Chris Godwin, who caught 7 passes for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns for 31.5 points, and Dalvin Cook, who racked up 218 yards from scrimmage (25.8 points). Soonerjack (4-1) will look to add to their success against Dead Again, while Arrogant Americans (0-5) will attempt to right the ship against Norman Nobodies.
Taking on the Saints in Week 5, Godwin caught 7 passes for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns. In doing so, he put up 31.5 points to scored 84.8% higher than his 17.05-point projection, the highest percentage of any player on Soonerjack this week. Godwin will play the Panthers in Week 6.
Soonerjack
A couple of 4-1 teams will go at it as Soonerjack go up against Dead Again next in Week 6. Each team has players with byes next week, as David Montgomery, T.Y. Hilton, and the Chicago Bears defense are off for Soonerjack, while Dead Again will be missing John Brown and Parris Campbell. In terms of scoring production, these two squads have almost been mirror images of each other recently. Soonerjack have scored 142.4 points per game over the last three weeks, while Dead Again have averaged 139.62 per contest over that same period.
Arrogant Americans
Week 6 will feature the league's two lowest-scoring teams, as Arrogant Americans (0-5) face Norman Nobodies (1-4). Arrogant Americans may have to shuffle their lineup some with Jacoby Brissett and Darren Waller out on bye in Week 6. Norman Nobodies will be without Tyrell Williams.
