Rooster Cogburn fall short of expectations, succumb to Newtons Nutcrackers in 111.56-84.33 rout
Rooster Cogburn failed to rise to the occasion, falling short of projections, as Newtons Nutcrackers cruised to a 111.56-84.33 win. Rooster Cogburn grabbed a 15.32-point lead early Sunday afternoon, but it was all Newtons Nutcrackers after that. They were led by the Pittsburgh Steelers defense (17 Pts Allowed, 236 Yds Allowed, 3 Turnovers) and Aaron Jones (134 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 58 Rec Yds). Jacoby Brissett (251 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs, 26 Rush Yds) and Demario Davis (7 Tackles, 1 Sack) carried the flag for Rooster Cogburn in the loss. This marks the first time this season Newtons Nutcrackers have taken down Rooster Cogburn, after falling 129.2-96.06 in their last matchup. Newtons Nutcrackers will look to not lose that winning feeling in next week's semifinals, while Rooster Cogburn attempt to rebound and lock up 5th Place.
Against the Cardinals in Week 14, the Steelers defense allowed 17 points, surrendered 236 yards, and intercepted 3 passes. In doing so, they put up 38.5 points to more-than-double their 17.7-point projection, the highest percent increase of any player on Newtons Nutcrackers this week. The Steelers will square off against the Bills next week.

Newtons Nutcrackers
Getting the win is most important, Newtons Nutcrackers, but we certainly know of one spot where we should improve as a team. Our QBs were thoroughly overmatched by the opposition. Our two signal-callers combined for only 6.61 points in Week 14, while the QBs for Rooster Cogburn tripled us up with a score of 21.88.
Rooster Cogburn
Your starting QB tossed two interceptions and literally zero touchdowns? Maybe we need to go back and review the game tape: Were the Bengals really that great against the pass, or was Baker Mayfield just that sloppy from the pocket?
